My Name is Cathie Roberts, I am in my 40's and live outside of Galena Illinois in a town called Scales Mound. We have a small farm with 6 goats and some chickens. Stained Glass was the start of my love affair with glass and I have been doing it for many years. 2000 was the year I found lampworking and after much research I purchased all the equipment and then took a class, kind of backwards, but I knew it was something I had to do.

I love the Zen experience I have behind the torch. Hours can go by and I will hardly notice. 2002 lead me to fusing another wonderful glass element I have only just begun to enjoy. I am happy to be finally working as a full time glass artist, a dream I worked toward for many years. All of my creations are "born" in my glass studio in the basement of my home, Best of both worlds.
